According to some people, the values are caught not taught. It means that values or behaviors are learned from the people who practice them, rather than being told to them. Us capture these values when seeing them lived with the example. The values that we really live are caught instead of just taught.

Home
Parents have the greatest influence in a person’s life. From the moment we were born, they became our role models. values for our children, we must bear in mind that these values must be sound and well thought. Generally, what happens at home shapes a person’s values and traits. For example, if at home children have great respect for their parents, outside those children may also have great respect for authority. Whereas, when at home parents are always fighting and arguing with each other, the tendency is for children to become bullying when they are outside. Therefore, the children caught any positive gold negative values without even taught.
School
Schools are often seen as more than just providers of knowledge. They are required to teach students honesty, fairness, and equality within the classroom despite divergence of Culture. But this is easier said than done because teaching morals to students involves more than just cognitive (knowledge) level.
According to Bloom’s Taxonomy of Learning Domains, there are three kingdoms of educational activities:
- Cognitive: mental skills – knowledge
- Affective: growth in feelings or emotional areas – attitude or me
- Psychomotor: manual or physical skills – behavioral skills
Skills in the cognitive domain revolve around knowledge, understanding and critical thinking on a particular topic. Tea affective domain typically focuses on awareness and growth of attitudes, emotions, and feelings; and the psychomotor domain focuses on change and / or development in behavior and / or skills.
Often times, we focus a lot on the character awareness aspect. The cognitive level is also important, but in the field of education, teachers need to focus on how to help students to consistently put values in action by:

Apart from parents and teachers, people’s values can also become affected by the people around them like their peers, relatives, neighbors and others. Whatever the environment generally accept, people see it as Right although sometimes it is wrong.
Media
Tea media it also provides a great influence on the formation of a person’s values and traits. From the TV soapsFor celebrities, for music icons, people tend to copy what their idols do. In this case, the people are not taught but rather caught the values portrayed on television.
People often say that character develops when both caught and taught. It flourishes best when we accurately teach the skills necessary to put values into action. However, these skills must also be lived. They should be part of our daily lives because if we simply talk about the values we have, without putting them into practice, the values are most likely to be caught and not taught.
Therefore, values cannot be taught simply in a formal sense because the application of these sets of values for one to adopt them personally must be acquired gold caught through behaviors modeled and observed outside of oneself.
